Kate’s career with animals began when she gained her diploma in Animal Management at an agricultural college in Derbyshire near where she grew up in the Peak District. After working at a boarding kennels Kate went on to study Animal Science (Behaviour & Welfare) at degree level.
Following her graduation from the University of Plymouth in 2012, Kate has had an exciting career working with a diverse range of species across the country. She has had lots of experience in animal training programmes and enjoys the behavioural nature of her work.
She has always maintained a love of dogs, having working dogs at home. Kate’s interests lie in canine health and welfare and she is passionate about rehabilitation; qualifying in Canine Hydrotherapy in 2018.
Kate has also worked as the Lead Instructor-Keeper at Askham Bryan Agricultural College in York.
Kate enjoys spending time with her young family and taking trips to the Yorkshire Coast with waggy tailed friends in tow!
